Tuesdays with Morrie

When Mitch’s job went on strike and people got arrested and beaten - I think there were replacement workers too, it was kind of surprising how the people were beaten because they were on strike.  We think that Mitch’s job could get worse and he might lose it.  Mitch flies just to see Morrie every Tuesday and we are surprised that he spends that much money.  Morrie wants Mitch to know that everyone will die eventually.  Morrie says “it’s horrible to watch my body slowly wilt away to nothing, but it’s also wonderful because of all the time I get to say goodbye.”  He also says to Mitch, “I want to tell you about my life before I can’t tell you anymore.”  Morrie finds this important because Mitch is important he is like family to Morrie and part of his life. Morrie wants to let Mitch know that he is going to die ahead of time, so that Mitch does not have to get the information right after he dies.

Steven: I chose this quote because Morrie is the one dying and this is what he feels death is not what other people think it will be.He thinks that everyone is going to die eventually but not the thoughts and feeling you had with the other person.

Brandon: I chose this quote, because every Tuesday Mitch flies out to go see Morrie, he knows that Morrie is going to die soon, but he just wants to make sure that he could keep on seeing him for as ong as he can.
